Offering individual, couples, and group therapy, ketamine-assisted therapy, medication management…

Alara is interested in helping you discover who you already are beneath the expectations and pressures that may have accumulated over time. She is particularly interested in the relationship between the conscious and unconscious mind, as Alara believes healing happens when what lies beneath the surface is gently brought into awareness. Through mindfulness and somatic practices, you can explore states of awareness to connect with the parts of yourself that may have remained unseen. These new insights can shift perspective, help you move through feelings of being stuck, and support you in making meaningful life choices.
We live in a time with more therapy options than ever before. Help is everywhere, yet finding the right therapist can still feel overwhelming. With so many choices and pressures pulling us in different directions, it can feel like we’re expected to make the perfect decision from the very beginning.
I believe the “perfect” therapist already exists within you. My role is to help you access that inner wisdom. Through IFS, mindfulness, somatic work, and psychodynamic therapy, we’ll bring unconscious patterns into conscious awareness so you can make choices that feel authentic to you. I also leave room for dreams, symbols, spirituality, and existential questions, believing they can offer valuable insight into who we are. My hope is that this work helps you gain new perspectives and move through life with greater clarity, intention, and self-understanding.
My approach to therapy comes from my deep fascination with altered states of consciousness. While earning my B.A in psychology, I committed myself to meditation and breathwork practices as a way of exploring different states of awareness. Alongside my yoga training, these experiences taught me the importance of bringing the mind, body and spirit into conversation with one another. Although this has become a life-long practice, I found the experience both transformative and deeply meaningful.
I believe Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy can be a powerful tool for accessing perspectives that may be difficult to reach in our ordinary state of consciousness. Combined with psychodynamic therapy, IFS, somatic approaches and mindfulness, KAP can create opportunities for profound self-exploration and healing. By becoming more aware of our unconscious patterns, we can begin working at the root of our struggles rather than only addressing what appears on the surface.
At the same time, I believe meaningful transformation happens over time, not in a single session or overnight. Therapy is an active process that requires curiosity, self-reflection and a willingness to engage with what emerges. Depending on your goals, our work together may include practices between sessions, such as meditation, dream journaling, or reflective writing, to deepen your healing.
