A message from Ben

In today’s world, it’s easy to feel stuck in a cycle of jumping from one stressor to the next. Our society faces increasing overstimulation, isolation, and disconnection, so it makes sense that feelings of imbalance and uncertainty can arise.

I recognize this and aim to walk alongside you on the path toward healing and helping you discover new ways of relating to yourself and others that foster deeper connection, meaning, and fulfillment. In our work together, I create a space where you are seen not as a diagnosis, but a human being worthy of acceptance, support, and care.

It is an honor and a privilege to hold this space with every client I work with. I take that responsibility seriously and show up fully to each session.

Many people I work with have found the traditional model of therapy to feel stale and rather ineffective. My approach is different. It combines a deep exploration of historical, interpersonal, and emotional factors with practical action,  identifying tangible steps aligned with your values as we identify and uncover them together.

My approach is rooted in evidence-based theory and application, including ACT, DBT, and psychoanalytic modalities. I listen closely to the histories, patterns, and cycles that shape your experience, and foster a space where we can identify ways to break unhelpful habits and thought patterns. Our experiences can be likened to a tree: the branches represent the behavioral patterns that may feel difficult to change, while  the roots reflect the underlying causes of these behaviors. Together, we tend to both, creating space for intentional growth and lasting change.

I pay particular attention to the language you use, helping you hear and understand yourself in new ways. We will work to gently challenge long-held narratives about the self and the world around us, uncovering new ways of being that draw on your innate capacity to heal in the face of adversity.

I am committed to a practice that affirms and welcomes people of all backgrounds and identities in their diversity and difference. Whether you’re seeking relief from ongoing challenges or exploring new dimensions of yourself, my goal is to offer a space where your experiences are understood, respected, and supported.
