A message from Jenna
Whether you are navigating a life transition, relationship dynamics, or finding your identity, therapy can offer a container to hold and explore your inner self. I believe therapy offers us an opportunity to greet our past patterns with curiosity and compassion to facilitate lasting change. Perhaps you connect with your emotions intellectually, but you feel unable to reach them on a deeper level. I utilize traditional talk therapy and somatic techniques to help people connect more fully with their thoughts and feelings. My approach is warm, engaging, and includes a touch of humor.
I help clients navigate themes related to relationships (family of origin, chosen family, romantic, platonic), trauma, anxiety, depression, work/life balance, and self esteem. I have particular expertise working with queer and trans people in addition to people questioning their gender, and people exploring gender transitions of all sorts. I am a proud queer and trans/nonbinary clinician.
I have additional training and experience working with clients who experience chronic illness and disability. I enjoy working with young adults (ages 18-24), but welcome people of all ages. My approach is informed by how systems of oppression impact your life experiences and mental health. The lenses of feminist theory, disability justice, racial justice, and intersectionality deeply inform my approach to the therapeutic modalities I use and the relationships I build with clients.
