Therapy Intern, MSW Student

Oskarys Fermin

In a world where we are constantly pulled out of ourselves, both on and offline, one of the most meaningful things we can do is find our way back. Oskarys’ goal is to help you build a path toward healing that feels authentic to your unique experiences, values, and story. She sees therapy as a collaborative process where there’s space for curiosity, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

Resilience and healing require creativity. Oskarys takes a holistic approach to healing by integrating somatic practices, creative expression, and evidence-based therapies such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). When appropriate, she also incorporates Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as part of treatment. Above all, Oskarys wants therapy to feel like a place where you can reconnect with your body, your emotions, and your sense of self.

A message from Oskarys

Life has a way of tying us into “knots.” Trauma, systematic oppression, chronic stress, difficult relationships, and even the constant demands of modern life can leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves. Trying to untangle those “knots”  alone can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re also trying to manage work, relationships, and everyday responsibilities. As someone who has personally navigated the effects of PTSD, I know how transformative it can be to reconnect with your body and begin feeling safe within yourself again. My hope is to create a space where you feel supported, understood, and empowered to actively participate in your own healing. Feeling grounded in yourself can be one of the greatest gifts therapy has to offer.

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and deeply relational. I believe healing happens when you feel genuinely seen, supported, and empowered, so I strive to be an active participant in your journey rather than someone who simply observes it. Together, we’ll build practical tools while also making space for creativity, reflection, and self-discovery.

I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), somatic approaches, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) when appropriate. Rather than relying on a single method, I tailor therapy to your unique needs, helping you develop greater emotional resilience, reconnect with your body, and create lasting change that extends beyond our sessions.
